Backstory!
While playing through the infamously dark Tomb of Annihilation campaign for Dungeons and Dragons, my first player character, Dr Margot Moreau, was a necromancer who was trying to resurrect her son who died in childbirth. My DM came up with the idea of the Big Bad, Arch-Lich Acererak, resurrecting the kid himself to use him as a manipulation tactic. This eventually blossomed the idea of Acererak using Peter as a new phylactery, which then became the story of Acererak just straight up adopting this kid.
I’ve wanted to make this comic for ages, I’m glad I finally did :).
